At last! People are being stirred into action.
How many people will support the latest bid to avoid filling up on 1 May?
To be honest, not many.
But Nu Liebore will be fuming that the protest to highlight fuel costs takes place just a few days before the election.
Remember: the inept, lying Government trousers 76p for every litre sold.
So let's support the bankers bonuses and keep on paying!
Apparently, haulage firms in the North-East and activists Farmers For Action are also planning demos. Various people have been in touch for me to take a lead on this but I need more people to step forward.
Also people need to be aware that Tony Blair changed the law on these protests.

A huge Facebook campaign is mobilising half a million drivers to boycott pumps in demos which could be devastating for Gordon Brown as Britain goes to the polls.
It comes after a series of unpopular tax hikes in recent months sent petrol soaring to 120.8p a litre this week - up from 94.9p only a YEAR ago - with the Government pocketing 76p for every litre sold.

Can the BBC News stop being the mouthpiece for a discredited government?
On the News at Ten last Thursday, the anchor threw to a reporter standing outside a petrol station and they discussed that oil is priced in dollars and that it flucuates and that prices will most certainly go UP!
Can I just point out, yet again, that petrol prices could come DOWN tonight if the Government adjusted its 80% tax rate.
Or is that all a bit too simple?

And they're off!
So the election starts. We will be watching what's in it for the long-suffering motorists and comment here.
Motorists Against Detection will also be unveiling our very own election manifesto shortly.
Anyone concerned with how politicians have been kicking us over the past 13 years will be interested to hear what we are calling for.
As a powerful but underrepresented voice we can work together to ensure that the political parties take note of us.

Petrol price war
To be honest I don't really care - fuel is needlessly overpriced (or that should be over-taxed) and I'm still amazed we aren't having major protests again.

Asda and Tesco have both dropped the price of their unleaded and diesel by up to three pence a litre, saying they are passing on a cut in oil prices.

Petrol is about to reach £1.10 and yet we are all sat here doing nothing.
These New Labour clowns have a lot to answer for. It's ridiculous.

The police are stuck in a minefield
It's no suprise that the IPCC is getting involved with the police not wearing the ID numbers on their uniforms.
It's getting out of hand. Loads of coppers turned up at the G20 demo with theirs missing or covered up. This is strictly against their own rules. And they did at the Tamil protest outside Parliament too.
And then we have news that the raid on Tory MP Damien Green was wrong but also politically motivated. The police overstepped the mark and have shown they are just a political arm for Zanu Labour. I said previously there was never any 'national security threat'.
The Home Secretary is starting to look ridiulous. A politically motivated Police investigation to silence an opposition MP? Unbelievable.
To underline that the police are their own worst enemy and we now live in a police state, consider from today's news:
* two Austrian tourist have their photographs of London BUSES deleted by two coppers under the anti terrorism legislation (indeed the coppers are wrong and may have committed an offence themselves)
* The woman hit with a cosh at the G20 says her tormentor is a bully (by a sergeant without his ID on his shoulder and who towered above the woman)
* And I would like to remind readers that when Tony Blair was arrested (the ONLY serving Prime Minister to be arrested) his DNA was not taken. Again aganist the rules and no reason as to why he has special treatment
My police friends are getting fed-up with how the police are being shown up in the media. There's just one easy solution - remember who pays your wages and start showing decent ordinary people some respect.

*** I could even go on about the Budget that's being planned. We are already the most taxed nation in Europe so we can't have any more taxes imposed. Then there are rumours that our pensions (ie Private not public service ones) are about to be raided once again. We must be close to civil insurrection mustn't we?

Petrol prices are indefensible
I tell you - I'm so looking forward to the summer of chaos. It's about time that people in this country began to get angry.
Take yesterday's petrol duty rise. It may be only 2p but it's still 75% of the pump price. I don't want to pay those thieves in Zanu Labour any more money.
It is a hurtful thing to do because so many people are struggling. Pump prices rocketed when the price of oil went up but the fuel firms haven't put their prices down as quickly (or as much as they should have done) once the oil price fell through the floor.
On top of this, the AA says pump prices have risen by more than 5.5p a litre since the start of 2009.
Outrageous!
And today we have uSwitch.com saying that in the last decade, the cost of insuring, servicing, taxing and buying fuel for a car has outstripped the rate of inflation by a massive 34pc.
This fleecing of the motorist has just got to stop.

Government gambles our future and hurts motorists
This is a ridiculous gamble - it looks good on paper while the price of oil is low but it's a disaster for motorists when the price of crude rises (as it will do).
It's a nonsense budget designed to hurt motorists yet again. It's not that long since Gordon Brown was blaming everyone for the price of oil and urging them to increase production.
This spin-happy clown neglected to mention in his interviews (and which the craven BBC duly obliged) that we are heavily taxed at 70% on fuel pump prices and here they are going up yet again.
They've avoided putting the increase on twice now. Tossers.
So here's the Daily telegraph's take on what's happening:
There will be a 2p per litre rise in the cost of petrol from December 1, meaning motorists will make no gain from a cut in VAT announced in the pre-Budget report.
Anger at the fuel duty increases was tempered by a climb-down over controversial plans to increase road tax on millions of cars. (We will come back to this topic!)
The Treasury insisted next week's duty rise would leave drivers no worse off, but future rises will mean net increases in the cost of fuel.
The first duty increase was postponed earlier this year amid soaring oil prices, but with oil now at half the level it reached at its peak and pump prices falling, the Chancellor said it was right to go ahead with the rise.
Fuel duty will then rise again by 2p a litre in April next year and once more in April 2010, giving a total of 6p extra tax that will more than off-set the one-off temporary VAT cut, which will be reversed at the start of 2010.
Believe me, this is something that we will be returning to.
They can't chance an early election. The country is skint because of Brown's "financial genius" and we've lumbered ourselves with a shed-load of debt we can't pay back.
Please, vote anything but Labour to put this country right again.
